Professional Credits
Certified health educators (CHES, MCHES or CFLE)—and anyone working in the field who is interested in learning more—will find it easy to earn continuing education credits through ETR's new, fully automated ETR University! Simply choose from the more than 50 self-study courses below and follow directions to purchase a course and gain access to it. Once you fulfill course requirements (passing an online quiz in most cases), you will be able to download and print a certificate of completion.
To earn self-study professional credits/contact hours:
- Choose one of the following self-study courses.
- Click the course title for more information and to register and pay for the program online.
- When complete, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to your course on ETR University.

About CHES and MCHES
CHES and MCHES certifications are granted by The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) to health education professionals who pass a written test and pay annual dues. Many of the self-study courses on ReCAPP offer advanced continuing education contact hours, which health education specialists who are certified by NCHEC as advanced (i.e., Master Certified Health Education Specialists or MCHES) are eligible to receive when they successfully complete the course. Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) will receive non-advanced level credits when they successfully complete the same self-study course.
